When using Google Chrome, Facebook isn't 100% functional unless in an incognito window.?

When i click on my notifications tab, my friend request tab, and my messages tab, they turn white but the drop down menu does not appear. Also i am unable to access chat, view photos in theater mode, or flip through photos using the arrow keys (as i have become accustomed to doing). However, ALL of these features work fine when i am in an incognito window. Seems odd to me. Can anyone provide some insight?
