How do you react if a guy hits on you and you are married?

and do you tell your spouse that it happened? just curious, my wife had a guy at work who she had worked with for 2 years who hit on her 2 or 3 times, she joked and shrugged it off the first couple of times and when i asked whether she thought he got the message, she said she thought her lack of interest and body language had sent the message, although i would have handled it differently it seems that her way had the same result. Thoughts?
